Frequently Asked Questions

What are Powder Brows?

Powder Brows are a semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique that creates a soft shaded brow pencil look. This amazing technique gives great definition and depth to the eyebrows. Its particularly recommended for women with oily skin, skin with large pores or anyone who fills in their brows regularly with pencil or shadow. Right after the initial appointment your eyebrows appear bolder and wider than they'll look once they heal, about 10-30% of the color will fade 2-3 weeks after the procedure. 6-12 weeks later you need to schedule a touch up session.

Does the procedure hurt?

Pain level is minimal. The pigment is implanted more superficial with permanent makeup than body tattoos, that's also the reason why it fades faster. A topical anesthesia is applied before if needed and during the procedure.

What should I expect on the day of my appointment?

If you never got permanemt make up done before, it's normal to feel nervous. Here's what you should expect from the moment you enter our studio:

  • You sign the forms ( health history, concent forms etc.)
  • We take before pictures
  • We pre-draw your eyebrows/lips/eyeliner during which we discuss your preferences in shape and color. We use a dark pencil for brow mapping and red pencil for your lips + highlight them with a white pencil/paste. Its important for us to see clearly where the needle has to go
  • After you approve the shape we do a first pass without anesthetic ,don't worry you won't feel any pain. most people discibe the feeling as like they are tweezing the brows. But if you still feel pain or uncomfortable to do the procedure without the anasthetic we can apply it before we start. That will add extra time as we will need to leave it on for at least 15-20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile we get everything ready for the procedure
  • Beginning to work on the area, applying a secondary anesthetic for your comfort. Pigment is implanted in a few passes. For eybrows it's usually 3-5, for lips 2-3. lash line 2-3
  • Finishing up, showcasing the result, making sure you're happy with it, explaining aftercare, Service is NOT complete until 4-8 week touch up session

Do I need a touch up?

Touch ups are highly recommended. Due to the uniqueness of each individual and the superficial nature of the tattoo itself, touch ups provide an opportunity to assess how your skin responds to the procedure. Touch ups provide an opportunity to make any adjustments necessary while also lengthening the longevity of your tattoo. These sessions are included in the initial price and need to be booked between 6-8 weeks from the time of your first session.

How do I proceed if I have previous work done by another artist?

Previous work can be tricky. The current state of your tattoo, and understanding your expectations will help your artist offer advise and help achieve the desired result. All coverups must be pre-approved before booking. Please send a photo in natural light via the contact page on this website.
